Excellent, sound, strong, supple, and wearable.
Silk velvet is strong and supple. Very near to original condition, and only shows slight patina of age. Very small, very faint discoloration to the velvet at the center bodice neckline, but this is only apparent on close inspection, and looks very much similar to a different sheen/nap to the velvet, so it is not very noticeable and does not detract.
95% of beading intact and secure. Scattered blue beads missing here and there, but this is not evident at all on general inspection, but only becomes apparent on close inspection. Overall impression is that the beading is intact.
Bottom two inches of hem appear to have been let out (perhaps for a taller woman). This could remain as it is, or be refolded and retacked to its original hemline. Does not detract.
This beautiful Parisian gown once had a silk lining, but it is now gone. Gown could be relined, but is wearable as is. Overall, presentation is beautiful and is absolutely wearable.
