Description: This artistically detailed walking suit is excessively smart, and a generous, modern size. It is made of what appears to be silk linen, ultra-fine and ultra-smooth.
It is the color of pale tea, with black and twilight blue silk satin and gold trim at the collar and cuffs.
Wonderful, hand-corded, self-fabric buttons adorn the front and the cuffs. Their corded theme is matched by the graphic, ovate soutache at the cuffs, the jacket bottom hem, and also trim the front of the sweeping, half-gored skirt.
The coat is lined in silk, and the skirt is unlined.
Condition: Excellent
This piece is fresh and strong. The silk lining is separating at the neck in the jacket and there is slight discoloration of the lining at the armsecyes, and some small shattering of the silk at the lining's armsecyes as well. everywhere else it is strong, both in the jacket and in the skirt.
There is slight, faint wear on the edges of the blue satin collar (the black edges are absolutely fine). There is also slight wear on the blue satin edges of the jacket cuffs, with an additional, larger wear spot on the upper cuff the size of the top half of a thumbnail (of a person without very long nails). On the right underside of the black trim of the collar, there is a small, centimeter-ish nick in the black silk. This is on the inside, and does not show when worn.
There is a half-inch thin line (it really doesn't have any width) of wear on the back of the skirt, near the back center seam, near the skirt opening.
One button's shank is a bit long, and should be taken in a bit, and one button needs to be resecured. All buttons, including the cuff buttons, are original and present.
