Beautiful presentation, but a garment with many flaws. Numerous period darns and mends throughout the bodice (primarily in the back, done in matching pink threads). A two-inch, period patched piece in the skirt (mended with the same pink tissue silk). Scattered pulls and tears in the silk. Silk has worn through at the ornamental buttons in the back.

Despite the damage, this gown is wearable for the right-sized person, as the overall condition of the silk is supple and strong, despite the flaws. If worn, it should be worn with care, as the silk is tissue silk, and very thin. Again, this gown is wearable for the right-sized person, and makes a lovely presentation.
