Victorian Film Terrible Beauty Finds Director
The film A Great and Terrible Beauty has landed a director and a writer, Charles Sturridge. The film, based on the first book in the trilogy by author Libba Bray, revolves around four children in Victorian England who enter an otherworldly realm after the mother of one of the children dies. Sturridge's previous directorial credits include Shackleton, a made-for-television film that profiled the exploits of Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton.
