Proctor and Gamble to Close Rochas

Corporate giant Proctor and Gamble announced that it will close fashion house Rochas in October. Rochas, currently headed by Belgian-born designer Olivier Theyskens, was founded in 1924 by Marcel Rochas. He died in 1955, but the house continued to produce without him. Theyskens, who designed the news-making coat that Madonna wore to the 1998 Acedemy Awards, presented his first collection for Rochas in March 2003.
