Never-Released Hendrix Song to Be Auctioned

"Station Break," a never-released song by rock guitar legend Jimi Hendrix, will be auctioned in New York City in November at an intellectual property rights sale venue. The song, on its original reel-to-reel tape, was discovered in 1994 in a closet by Celeste Simon, the widow of Jerry Simon, with whom Hendrix recorded the song in New York in 1966. Other works from that session include "No Such Animal" and "Kato's Special." The winner of the auction will receive both the reel-to-reel tape and the intellecutal property rights to digitally remaster the recording. The Hendrix estate will get half the royalties from any proceeds.
