100 Miuccia Prada hemlines were unveiled in an exhibit called "Waist Down: Skirts by Miuccia Prada" on Friday at the Prada Epicenter in Los Angeles, California. The skirts represent a design timeline from Prada's first women's collection (1988) through today. The height of hemlines through the years, the volume a skirt encompasses, the ease-of-movement (or the reverse) that the skirt allows the wearer, seen in chonological context, is meant to show how this portion of the female body is affected by social and aesthetic trends. "Waist Down" has already toured the world, making stops in Prada "epicenters" located in Shanghai, Tokyo, and New York.
