Bridget Jones Author Has Baby
Helen Fielding, author of Bridget Jones' Diary, gave birth to a six-pound, three-ounce baby girl on Sunday. The as-yet-unnamed daughter is the second child for the 48-year-old Fielding and her long-time signinficant other, fellow writer Kevin Curran. Bridget Jones' Diary is loosely based on Jane Austen's classic work, Pride and Prejudice, and was made into a film that starred Colin Firth (who played Pride and Prejudice character Mr. Darcy in the highly acclaimed 1995 television version, directed by Simon Langton).
